There are many different sensitivities avialable in bubble levels.
The most sensitive is called the 10 second machinists level and is used for
surveying or setting up machine tools. The nominclature means that one mark
or division on the level indicates an angle of 10 seconds of arc from level.
This angle is a slope of .000048 or.003 inches in 5 feet.
A carpenters level is many many time less sensitive than the machinists
level. I think that one mark on a carpenters level is about 1/16 of an inch
per foot.
