How to convert voltage reading to frequency?

Hi,

I am doing an electronic project as a hobby. I have a sensor which has
an analog output as voltage. The voltage is measured and acquired by
an USBDAQ. I have all the readings in volt unit.

The output is actually generated by ECM (Electret Condenser
Microphone) in the sensor.

How can I convert it to frequency using computer software? Which
mathematics algorithm should I use, eg. Fourier Transforms? I don't
intend to build a hardware as I have no experience building one.

Thanks.

Yes, Fourier transforms will give you the frequency
distribution of the signals you are looking at.
