Does anyuone have any comments or opinions?
Yeah. Take hallucinogens instead of space flight. This too is a trip
you shall never forget. It's cheaper and less dangerous.

Most agency's will not take anyone right out of college. There is no money
in it.

Agreed. Anyone that will sign "your friend" up, will expect
"your friend" to pay them out of their own pockets.

If someone hasn't come knocking on "your friend's" door for
employment already, then:
- he/she will need to move to a different community,
- he/she needs to look to getting a degree in a different field,
or at least a different area of specialization.

How emminent is graduation?

Now for the most part, the Fundamentals of Engineering / Engineer
In Training exam is only good for employment in forensic
engineering (largely crash investigation),
architectural/engineering firms (structural/HVAC), government
contractor (defense, etc.), and government service (monitoring
both contractors and politicians). It won't impress other
employers... at least in the USA.

He has taken the FEE test and will be out of college at the end of May. The
college has not been helpful at all. I am surprised about that.

My college wasn't helpful to me directly. They hosted some
recruiters, and provided some minimal scheduling. One of them
flew me to Idaho for further interviews, but I turned that
position down.

Consider that if he were to feel like he needed more education,
say a Master's Degree, they'd get even more money from him.

It would be very helpful if you'd say something about where he
lives, where he intends to work, and what area of specialization
he has.
